After years of waiting, the new major leisure and gastronomy destination by the sea is finally ready
After several delays and much anticipation, Torrevieja celebrated a significant moment today as Paseo del Mar, the new leisure and dining centre in the harbour area, officially opened its doors on 11 June 2026.

A new destination by the sea
The centre has been designed as an open, Mediterranean-style space where people can gather, enjoy good food and spend time together. With 27 restaurants and bars offering a wide variety of cuisines, it aims to become a popular destination for both locals and visitors.
A major investment for the city
The project, developed by Empresas del Sol, represents a significant private investment of more than 60 million euros. Together with the surrounding harbour redevelopment, the total investment exceeds 100 million euros.
