Torrevieja invests €700,000 in new skatepark and calisthenics area with urban landscaping
Torrevieja has inaugurated a new sports facility in the Torreta Florida flood park, including a modern skatepark and calisthenics zone. The space, located on the stormwater basin in Torrealmendros, features specialized skate modules and has been developed with input from local skate club Puro Skateboard Torrevieja.
Mayor Eduardo Dolón led the opening ceremony, joined by city councillors and representatives from AGAMED, the water management company responsible for the €700,000 investment. The club’s young member, Valeria Chacón, current regional champion and Olympic athlete, was also present. The mayor praised the collaboration with the club, which helped design the park to suit training needs.
In addition to the skatepark—equipped with features like Quarter+Flat, Hand Rail, Manual Pad, Flat Rail, and Funbox+Spine—the project includes urban furniture, a calisthenics area, and landscape integration through new planting. This initiative enhances Torrevieja’s sports and green infrastructure, offering a modern outdoor recreation area for residents.
