New iHub Torretech to foster startups and local talent in refurbished cultural space
The Torrevieja City Council has launched the tender to rehabilitate the old La Purísima nursery and annex, transforming them into a modern cultural and social hub in the town centre. The €4.5 million project, funded entirely with municipal resources, includes coworking areas, classrooms, digital nomad workspaces and hospitality services.
Mayor Eduardo Dolón confirmed the works could start by the end of the year, aiming to revitalise the historic site and support young entrepreneurs. The new iHub Torretech will offer startup incubation, training and talent development. The plan is part of a wider €33 million local investment strategy to boost economic growth and community life.
