Popular seafront promenade in Torrevieja undergoes major renovation worth over €6.5 million
Mayor Eduardo Dolón and Councillor Sandra Sánchez visited the site today together with the project manager and the contractor. They confirmed that the work on the metallic structure and the retaining wall has been completed, while the technical paving work is in full progress. Installation of concrete benches and stainless-steel railings has also begun.
The project has experienced minor delays due to bad weather during the winter and spring, as well as delayed delivery of architectural lighting financed by the EU’s Next Generation fund.
Meanwhile, the urbanisation work in the port area is progressing, including the connection between the Dique de Levante and the new leisure and entertainment centre. Once the new access road to Marina Salinas and the fish auction is finished, work will start on the ramp’s foundations. The goal is for the entire area to be completed at the same time as the centre’s opening.
