Applications open from 28 May until 8 September 2026 for innovative local projects
Torrevieja is once again showing strong support for youth talent and local innovation. The City Council has announced the XVII Edition of the Premios Jóvenes Emprendedores, a well-established competition designed to reward and boost young entrepreneurial initiatives in the municipality.

The total prize fund amounts to €12,000, distributed as follows: €7,000 for the first prize, €3,500 for the second, and €1,500 for the third. The initiative is promoted by the Department of Employment, Local Development and Entrepreneurship.

Projects must have been created between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026. Both individuals and legal entities linked to Torrevieja can apply. The evaluation committee will assess entries based on economic and technical viability, innovation, job creation potential, environmental commitment, equality, social economy principles, and the personal or social situation of the promoters.
Councillor Domingo Paredes emphasised that entrepreneurship is a key driver for economic and social growth in Torrevieja. “Entrepreneurship is not just about creating a company; it is about generating opportunities, innovation and employment. Young people have talent, creativity and a great capacity to detect new needs and provide solutions,” he stated.
