The 38th edition draws international participation and introduces route and date changes for 2025.
The 2025 Torrevieja International Half Marathon and 10K will take place on Sunday, October 19, marking its 38th edition with a record-breaking 2,000 registered runners. Organized by Club Atletismo Torrevieja in collaboration with the Department of Sports, the event remains one of the top races in the Valencian Community.
Around 40% of participants come from abroad, with the rest representing all regions of Spain — including 80 runners over the age of 65. Sports councillor Diana Box presented the event alongside race director Luis Manuel Corchete and club president José Manuel Pizana.
This year’s edition features a new course due to works on Paseo de La Libertad and a new date — moved from February to October to avoid overlap with other regional half marathons. Both races, the 21 km Half Marathon and the 10K, will start at 9:30 a.m. on Avenida Gregorio Marañón and finish on Calle Los Portalicos.
The flat, scenic seaside route offers ideal conditions for both competitive runners and recreational participants. Runners can collect their bibs on Saturday, October 18, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Museo de la Habanera, or on race day from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Late registrations will also be available on Saturday.
Over 200 volunteers, along with security, traffic, and medical teams, will ensure smooth operations. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers and to any athlete who breaks the course record.
More than a sporting event, the Torrevieja Half Marathon and 10K aim to promote tourism, local commerce, and healthy living, reaffirming Torrevieja’s identity as a dynamic, sport-loving city.
