The 224,000-euro project will adapt a ground-floor space near City Hall to improve citizen services.
Torrevieja’s Local Government Board has approved the tender for renovation works on a 180-square-metre ground-floor premises located at 26 Calle Clemente Gosálvez, corner of Caballero de Rodas, to house new municipal offices.
The project, with a base tender budget of €224,070 (VAT included) and an execution period of three months, will begin once the start-of-works act is signed. No extensions are foreseen. The works include central air conditioning, plumbing and electrical installations, construction of restrooms and offices, and the installation of 40 square metres of storage space along one wall, providing room for around 20 municipal employees.
The proximity of this building to City Hall will facilitate faster communication between departments, reduce travel time, and improve coordination and public service efficiency.
The expansion responds to Torrevieja’s growing administrative needs, as the current facilities at Plaza de la Constitución have reached maximum occupancy. The new location offers a large, open-plan layout adaptable to safety, accessibility, and technical standards, with dedicated areas for public service, administrative work, and secure document storage.
