The new route eases traffic flow to Torrevieja’s port area and supports ongoing construction works.
On Tuesday, September 23, the new access road to the Marina Salinas marina and the fish market was opened within Torrevieja’s port area.
The road features one inbound lane towards the port, one outbound lane toward the city centre, and a pedestrian crossing to ensure safe passage from Paseo de La Libertad. This temporary diversion allows construction crews to begin dismantling the structure of the Dique de Levante promenade from the “Hombre del Mar” monument to the section under rehabilitation, which is nearing completion.
Once the old structure is removed, work will continue on the foundation and ramp connection to the “Paseo del Mar” leisure complex currently under construction. The project, with a budget of €2,630,583, is being carried out by the company Orthem Servicios y Actuaciones Ambientales S.A.
