37th International Choral Meeting This Weekend
The 37th International Choral Meeting “Ciudad de Torrevieja” will take place on September 26 and 27 at Teatro Municipal, featuring around 130 singers from Spain, Ireland, and Portugal, writes Información.
Cultural councillor Antonio Quesada and José Miguel Ferrández, president of the Coral Francisco Vallejos, presented the event, which opens Friday, September 26 at 21:00 with performances by the host choir and Cor Nomens from Valencia.
On Saturday morning, the 22nd Choral Forum begins at 11:00, bringing together participants to share techniques, experiences, and repertoire before rehearsing the traditional group performance. The closing gala at 20:30 will feature Cor Bruckner from Barcelona, Coro Legatto from Mira (Portugal), and the Maynooth University Chamber Choir from Ireland. The event will conclude with all choirs performing ABBA’s “Thank You for the Music.”
