Friday: Nostalgic laughter with David Domínguez
Stand-up comedian David Domínguez brings his successful show **“El raro de los 90’s”** to the Auditorio Internacional at 20:30. With more than 15 years of experience, Domínguez takes the audience on a hilarious journey through the 1990s — urban tribes, dating customs, iconic TV moments and everyday absurdities that defined a generation. Full of irony and warm nostalgia, this show is perfect for anyone who grew up in that era.
Saturday: National Dance Competition
On Saturday, the Teatro Municipal becomes the centre of Spanish dance talent. The **Competición Nacional de Artes Escénicas** gathers more than **400 dancers** from across Spain in disciplines including classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, show dance and acrodance. The event also serves as a qualifier for the World Dance Championships — with the best performers heading to Slovenia in November 2026 and Poland in December 2026. Special guests include Patricia Montero and Álex Adrover. All tickets have already sold out.
Sunday: Magic and mentalism with Dakris
The weekend closes with a family-friendly spectacle. Illusionist **Dakris – El Mago Invisible** presents **“Nada es lo que parece”** at 18:00 in the Teatro Municipal. Known for his strong audience interaction, Dakris combines teleportations, disappearances, mentalism and clever illusions. A multiple award-winner (including “Best Magician of the Year 2012”), he delivers a show that blurs the line between reality and fantasy — suitable for all ages. A few tickets are still available.
Why this weekend matters
Torrevieja continues to strengthen its position as a vibrant cultural destination on the Costa Blanca. By hosting national-level competitions alongside popular entertainment, the city offers high-quality programming that appeals to both residents and visitors. These events not only enrich the local cultural calendar but also support artists and bring economic benefits to the hospitality sector.
The combination of comedy, dance and magic demonstrates Torrevieja’s commitment to diverse programming throughout the year — not just during the peak summer season. Such initiatives help create a year-round attractive cultural offer, which is increasingly important for a city with a large international resident community.
Practical information
Tickets for the remaining shows are available at the Teatro Municipal box office and online at www.culturatorrevieja.com. Early arrival is recommended, especially for the magic show, as demand is high.
