The City Council launches a joint campaign through the Departments of Commerce and Youth, featuring family-friendly events and the return of the popular “Zombie Experience” in La Mata.
The Torrevieja City Council, through its Departments of Commerce and Youth, has unveiled a comprehensive program of activities for the 2025 Halloween campaign. The initiative will take place across various parts of the municipality, aiming to boost local businesses while offering entertainment for children, families, and young people.
Councilor for Commerce, Rosario Martínez Chazarra, emphasized that “Halloween has become one of the most attractive campaigns for small local businesses, drawing both residents and visitors to the town center and La Mata. These kinds of events are an opportunity to continue supporting local shops and to keep our streets economically and socially vibrant.”
The program includes interactive exhibitions, themed decorations, workshops, live music, children’s contests, parades, a haunted house at the Vistalegre Exhibition Hall, and the grand Halloween Parade 2025 along Ramón Gallud Street.
Meanwhile, Councilor for Youth, Domingo Paredes Ibáñez, announced the return of the “Zombie Experience,” one of the most anticipated events for young people. “We want Torrevieja’s youth to enjoy a different kind of night — immersive, participatory, and safe. The Zombie Experience combines play, fitness, and teamwork, offering a healthy and alternative form of entertainment,” he said.
The Zombie Experience will take place on the night of October 31 in La Mata, starting from Plaza de Encarnación Puchol at 11:00 p.m. Participants will face a series of urban survival challenges, with professional makeup services available at the La Mata Sports Pavilion, themed decorations, group tests, and prizes for participants.
The initiative, with a total investment of €48,433, is funded through the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan via Next Generation EU funds, within the local commerce support and social cohesion program.
With this lineup, Torrevieja strengthens its commitment to a participatory, safe, and family-oriented Halloween that blends commercial revitalization with cultural and youth entertainment, filling the city’s streets with activity for five days.
