Torrevieja to Host Mireia Belmonte’s “Open Promesas” Swim Meet

The national competition for young swimmers takes place October 25 at Torrevieja’s indoor pool.

On Saturday, October 25, Torrevieja’s indoor pool at the City Sports Complex will host the “Open Promesas Mireia Belmonte,” a national competition created in collaboration with Olympic champion Mireia Belmonte and Hyundai, her brand partner for the past seven years.

The event aims to promote swimming among young athletes and identify future Spanish talents, fostering values such as effort, perseverance, teamwork, and healthy living. The Torrevieja meet is one of four national stages, alongside Madrid, Bilbao, and Barcelona.

Competitors will take part in 200-meter medley heats by age group, with the top eight swimmers advancing to the finals. Categories include Alevín (girls and boys born in 2013–2014) and Infantil (girls born in 2011–2012, boys born in 2011–2012).

Each participant will receive a welcome pack with exclusive merchandise. Winners will receive a personalized bathrobe, medal, and an invitation to the training campus with Mireia Belmonte and her coaching team.

Entry is free but requires a valid federation swimming license. Registrations can be made through local clubs via the RFEN platform or directly at hyundaiopenpromesasmireiabelmonte.es.On Saturday, October 25, Torrevieja’s indoor pool at the City Sports Complex will host the “Open Promesas Mireia Belmonte,” a national competition created in collaboration with Olympic champion Mireia Belmonte and Hyundai, her brand partner for the past seven years.
