Seven paddle courts, two frontenis courts, and a new café open at the City Sports Complex.
Mayor Eduardo Dolón has reopened seven paddle courts, two frontenis courts, a new access control system, and a café at Torrevieja’s City Sports Complex following a €1.07 million investment. Including the Nelson Mandela field renovation, total sports upgrades reach €2.75 million.
Dolón noted that over €20 million has been invested in sports infrastructure in the past six years, with plans for a 25-metre heated pool and refurbishment of the Cecilio Gallego Pavilion.
The new panoramic paddle courts meet World Padel Tour standards and include fixed seating, accessible ramps, and energy-efficient lighting. The frontenis courts have also been refurbished with new fencing, surfacing, and improved access, while nearby restrooms and locker rooms have been renovated.
A larger access control point now improves entry flow on Avenida Delfina Viudes, and the new café between the gym and paddle area offers a pleasant leisure space for athletes and visitors.
