The 7th “Tribute to the Elderly” photo contest recognized works celebrating shared stories between young and old.
The jury of the 7th “Tribute to the Elderly” Photography Contest — formed by Joaquín Carrión, Carmen García, Darío Pérez, and Fernando Guardiola — has announced this year’s winners.
First prize went to Benedicto Martín García for his photograph “Esto es el amor,” second prize to María Isabel Juárez for “Solo tres,” and third prize to Roberto Stoop for “En la playa.” The special Enrique López Joga Award was given to Maritza Chacón for her photo “Cerámica.”
This year’s theme, “Stories That Are Inherited,” highlights moments where different generations — the elderly and the young — share experiences and memories in daily life.
The awards will be presented on Wednesday, October 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Torrevieja’s Municipal Theatre, during the gala marking the International Day of Older Persons.
