Motion calls on Spanish government to include key junctions and honour 2025 tender pledge
The Popular Party (PP) has filed a motion urging Spain’s Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to speed up the long-promised widening of the N-332 bypass and include vital junction improvements. Party spokesperson Rosario Martínez Chazarra said the project has faced repeated delays despite a public commitment from minister Óscar Puente that the first section would be tendered in 2025 — a promise that has yet to materialise.
The PP is demanding that the ministry promptly deliver the construction plan for review so the city can ensure proper links to the CV-95, the Hospital, Las Salinas and the CV-905. The motion also calls for the 2026 national budget to include funding for the 7.68-kilometre expansion.
Martínez highlighted that another summer has seen severe traffic jams and even road gridlock on the N-332, with no visible progress on approvals or tendering. She thanked the regional government (Generalitat Valenciana) for offering to cooperate on infrastructure and planning to speed up the stalled project.
