Workshops Focused on Mental Health and Emotional Education
The Department of Youth of Torrevieja, in collaboration with the Youth Area of the Alicante Provincial Council, has launched the Vive-T Personal Development Program. This initiative consists of workshops focusing on emotional education, mental health, and promoting a healthy lifestyle for young people.
The program addresses increasing mental health challenges among adolescents, including anxiety, eating disorders, depression, and suicides. Organized through the CIAJ, it offers four thematic workshops: self-care, embracing differences, self-love, and managing interpersonal conflicts.
Each session lasts 90 minutes, with 30–60 students participating from IES Mare Nostrum, IES Mediterráneo, and IES Torrevigía. The aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where students can reflect, gain tools for emotional well-being, and move toward healthier lifestyles. Given its positive reception, the Youth Department is considering extending the program next school year.
