Torrevieja Tenders Legal Support for Assets

The new contract aims to strengthen legal and technical support for the city’s property-related operations over the next four years

The Local Government Board of Torrevieja has approved the tender for a Specialized Legal Assistance Service in municipal asset management, with a base budget of €222,374 (including VAT) and a term of four years, extendable for one more. The aim is to provide qualified legal and technical support to ensure the proper handling of all matters related to the city’s public and patrimonial assets.

According to the Councillor for Heritage, Domingo Paredes, the contract will offer legal advice for acquiring, conserving, registering, transferring, or protecting municipal property but will not replace the duties of municipal staff. The service will also support drafting agreements, optimizing asset use, and overseeing procedures that require legal oversight.

Paredes emphasized that Torrevieja is undergoing significant urban and patrimonial transformation, making this step vital for legal security and efficiency. He also highlighted how the Heritage Department collaborates with other areas, supporting key projects like the La Plasa building renovation, port area recovery, the new Alzheimer’s center, and various urban development and beach concession initiatives.

This move is part of the city’s broader strategy to professionalize municipal management and ensure that all actions with asset or contractual implications are carried out with transparency, security, and effectiveness.
