Nine business ideas reach final of Torrevieja Emprende program

Entrepreneurs will pitch to a jury on June 20, competing for €4,500 in prizes

Nine innovative business proposals have reached the final of the third edition of the Torrevieja Emprende program, an initiative promoted by the Scientific Park of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) in Elche and the City Council of Torrevieja.

On Friday, June 20, the finalists will present their projects to a jury composed of entrepreneurship experts, business representatives, and members of UMH. A total prize pool of €4,500 will be distributed among the winners.

The selected projects reflect a wide range of sectors and ideas: “Aura Baby” offers practical and comfortable products for pregnancy and breastfeeding, promoted by Thailin Giuliana Reina. “Humus Estrategias Regenerativas”, led by Claudia Gallego, focuses on regenerating agroecosystems in southeastern Spain. “Nissi Finance” introduces blockchain-based tokenization of real estate assets by Luis Lucena and Luisiana Mora.

Other finalists include “Achavo”, which promotes local creative talent in areas such as photography and audiovisual arts; “Vesty”, a fashion-focused mobile app; “Eat With Us”, a platform optimizing restaurant order management; “Deditos Barefoot”, a barefoot footwear brand for all ages; “Circu”, a sustainable swimwear line; and “Atar Cabos”, an online nautical academy offering flexible training.

The jury will include Ricardo Recuero, Councillor for Education and Innovation in Torrevieja; Javier Sancho, Director of Entrepreneurship at UMH’s Science Park; Carlos Carmona, President of the Royal Nautical Club of Torrevieja; and Álvaro Barrio, CEO of the security engineering firm Toloal.

Since its launch, Torrevieja Emprende has registered nearly 50 projects and provided mentoring to 30. The program forms part of UMH’s Emprende initiative, which supports local governments in fostering entrepreneurship and business development throughout the province.
